Dortmund would consider starting offers of around £65million for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke.

Aubameyang has become one of Europe’s leading strikers over the past few seasons, and is understood to be a target for a number of teams.

The 27-year-old has publicly discussed his future a number of times, including when he stated that he would not be joining Liverpool.

It is thought that La Liga giants Real Madrid are the favourites to sign the forward, who has scored 20 goals and assisted four in 22 games this season.

Speaking to Kicker TV, Watzke confirmed that the club would only consider bids of £65m and beyond for the reported Arsenal and Manchester City target.

“We can never guarantee that a player will stay with Borussia Dortmund forever, but our strength is to always find new solutions,’ the Dortmund chief told Kicker TV.

“With an €80m offer, I would be thinking about Rauball and Zorc [Dortmund chiefs]. If we had an offer, we would have to get together with Pierre-Emerick.

“’We always have to differentiate between situations where there is such an offer, but we have no pressure… I would prefer it if no offer came.

“He (Aubameyang) is definitely good enough to go to an even bigger club.”
