Partick boss Alan Archibald has demanded his side tighten up defensively as they seek to arrest an alarming slide down the table; Thistle have dropped to ninth place on the back of a five consecutive defeats.
Archibald told the Evening Times: “I keep saying to the defenders that we need to get back to defending rather than trying to play at the wrong times.
“We are losing goals because of it. We had the best record in the bottom half of the league around Christmas and January because we were defending so well, but we have lost goals through playing in the wrong area.
“We have not played enough football. We haven’t moved the ball quickly enough. Just from a defensive point of view, a lot of the goals we have lost have been of our own making.”
Dan Seaborne and Stuart Bannigan both have ankle knocks and face late checks, while Christie Elliott is a doubt with a stomach problem. Sean Welsh remains on the sidelines
