Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and Red Bull Salzburg’s Erling Braut Haaland top Manchester United’s shortlist of attacking transfer targets, according to a report in Italy.
The Red Devils have struggled for goals this season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side only bagging ten in nine Premier League games this term, while they sit 14th in the standings.
And finding a goalscorer will be top of Solskjaer’s list of priorities in the next two transfer windows, with Haaland heavily linked over the last couple of months.
And with Haaland also boasting an incredible record of 11 goals in nine league appearances, the player’s father – former Leeds and Man City midfielder Alf-Inge Haaland – has also played his part to talk up his son’s future.
Martinez’s release clause is set at €111million in his Inter deal with Spanish giants Barcelona also understood to be interested.
None of the reported interested parties have been put off by Inter’s asking price, but the Serie A side are currently working on providing the Argentine with a new contract.
In fact, the report adds that Inter’s hierarchy will meet up with Martinez’s agent over the next few weeks to try and thrash out a deal.
