Unai Emery has remained coy on the possibility of Arsenal’s new signings playing a big part in their first home match of the season on Saturday.
The Gunners brought in several new signings over the summer, with the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Kieran Tierney, David Luiz and Dani Ceballos tipped to make big impacts this season.
However, none of the new faces started their opening day victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League, although Pepe, Ceballos and Gabriel Martinelli came off the bench.
And ahead of Arsenal‘s match against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, Emery wasn’t giving much away.
When asked if the new signings were ready to start, Emery told reporters: “Each player is different.
“After Newcastle and this week the players are working well. We can decide to choose different options in each position. Really I think we need to be competitive.
“We need different options to decide who is better each match. The new players, the players who were with us last year, the young players, we can achieve our way each match with confidence.”
