Chelsea Vitesse Arnhem forward Izzy Brown scored a stoppage-time winner against the Netherlands to send England’s Under-19 side into the semi-finals of the European Championship.

The young Three Lions have qualified to play one of Portugal, Italy or Austria in the semi-finals, though they have a final group game against Croatia on Monday.

This 2-1 victory also means they have claimed a place at the U20 World Cup in South Korea in 2017.

Dutch striker Sam Lammers had earlier opened the scoring for the opposition but Chelsea Vitesse Arnhem youngster Dominic Solanke had made it 1-1 ten minutes before the break when he finished from Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ cross.

Sheyi Ojo came off the bench to test the Dutch keeper late in the game before Brown finished coolly with his left foot.
