Europa League draw: Man Utd vs Sevilla means Ten Hag’s men will travel to Spain again

Premier League club Manchester United will face Europa League experts Sevilla in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Fittingly, United were the first team drawn and will face six-time winners Sevilla.

Erik ten Hag’s side will play at home in the first leg, which will be played on Thursday, April 13.

The Red Devils faced Real Sociedad in the group stages before beating Barcelona in the play-off round and seeing off Real Betis – also based in Seville – in the last-16.

In another tasty tie, Italian giants Juventus will host Sporting – who knocked out Arsenal in the last 16.

Bayer Leverkusen will face Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise with the last quarter-final to be played between Feyenoord and Roma, who faced off in last season’s inaugural Europa Conference League final.

Should United reach the final of the competition, they may have to overcome Juventus, meaning they have been given arguably the hardest possible draw.

Jose Mourinho’s Roma vs the Red Devils in the Europa League final, anyone?

The first legs will be played on April 13 with the second legs scheduled for the 20th.

Meanwhile, West Ham will face Gent in the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League.

David Moyes’ side are struggling in the Premier League but have enjoyed a fine European campaign and will be aiming to reach a semi-final for the second year running.

The Hammers were eliminated in the last four of the Europa League last season and will face either Anderlecht or AZ Alkmaar if they can get past Gent.
