Everton eye Benteke to replace Lukaku – report

Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke is reportedly a target for Everton as they look to replace Romelu Lukaku.

The Toffees allowed Lukaku to join Man Utd for £75million and despite re-signing Wayne Rooney from the Red Devils and Sandro Ramirez from Malaga, Ronaldo Koeman is still keen to bring in a more like-for-like replacement for the Belgium centre-forward.

Olivier Giroud has been heavily linked with a move to Goodison Park, but the France forward has travelled to Australia as part of Arsenal’s squad on their pre-season tour.

According to Sky Sports, Koeman now has Benteke in his sights.

The Palace striker scored 17 goals in all competitions after completing a £27million move to Selhurst Park last summer following a miserable spell at Liverpool.
