Everton have reportedly made an opening offer for Man Utd winger Anthony Elanga.

Everton have made an opening offer for Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga but are facing competition from Nottingham Forest, according to reports.

It was revealed on Wednesday that the Toffees are interested in signing Elanga, in what would be the most predictable transfer in football history.

The Swedish international has only scored three goals in the Premier League, which is enough to tempt Sean Dyche into paying over £10million for his services.

According to BBC journalist Simon Stone, Everton have turned their interest into a formal bid worth between £15-20m.

The Times journalist Charlotte Duncker says Nottingham Forest are also keen on signing Elanga.

She claimed on Twitter that Steve Cooper is ‘working on deals’ for the 21-year-old and Willian, who recently left Fulham after his contract expired.

This could spark a bidding war, which will do Manchester United no harm whatsoever, especially when the negotiation tactics on their end do not tend to drive up prices.

Another player who could leave Old Trafford this summer is Amad Diallo, who spent last season on loan at Championship outfit Sunderland.

After a disappointing stint with Rangers in the second half of 2021/22, Amad was given the chance to impress with the Black Cats, which he very much did.

In 37 Championship appearances, the 21-year-old scored 13 goals and provided three assists.

He started United’s first pre-season friendly of the summer – the 2-0 win against Leeds United – but it is unclear if he will spend another season on loan, leave permanently, or be given a chance to play under Erik ten Hag.

According to iNews correspondent Mark Douglas, Ten Hag is ‘undecided’ on Amad’s future at Old Trafford.

Several Premier League sides and Championship trio Leeds, Southampton and Sunderland are all believed to be keen on signing the young Ivorian.

Ten Hag remained coy when asked if Amad is in his plans for the new season.

He said: “You don’t make conclusions after one week.”
