Everton outcast Mirallas joins Fiorentina on loan

Everton have confirmed that Kevin Mirallas will join Fiorentina on loan, subject to a medical.

The Belgian forward joined the Toffees in 2012 for £6m, making 186 appearances for the club in total. He spent the second half of last season on loan Olympiakos, from whom Everton initially signed him.

Mirallas, 30, will join the Serie A side on a season-long loan, after Everton confirmed the transfer with a 16-word statement on their website:

‘Kevin Mirallas will join Serie A side Fiorentina on a season-long loan, subject to a medical.’

Simple, but effective.

Marco Silva has deemed Mirallas surplus to requirements following the arrival of Richarlison from Watford.

The winger missed out on a space in Belgium’s World Cup squad, after only scoring two goals in Greece.
