Tottenham flop Arnaut Danjuma reportedly wants a return to the Premier League with Crystal Palace and Everton both keen on the Villarreal forward.

Danjuma joined Spurs on loan in January, leaving Villarreal after a disappointing first half of the season.

Everton tried to bring in the Dutch international before he pied them off at the last minute to secure a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This ended up being a pretty bad decision as Danjuma only managed one start across all competitions in six months in London. He would have been a crucial player had he secured a move to Everton.

The Toffees remain interested in signing the player despite the sour taste he left in their mouth in the winter transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail (via TEAMtalk), Sean Dyche is hoping to sign Danjuma on loan for the 2023/24 season.

Villarreal appear to be open to letting the forward leave on loan, and if he is to depart on a permanent basis, the Spanish side would apparently ask for around £25million.

Dyche will be dealing with a very tight budget this summer, so the signing of Danjuma on loan could be a very shrewd one indeed.

Everton could face competition from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace, however.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Danjuma and Villarreal are ‘pinning their hopes’ on the Dutchman returning to England.

A sale is the La Liga club’s preference and Palace could be an ‘option’, especially with Wilfried Zaha now officially out of contract.

The report says Danjuma will definitely be on the move this summer.

And Sky Sports correspondent Michael Bridge has said Danjuma will decide where his future lies in the first “few weeks” of July.

“He’s going to make a decision over the next few weeks,” Bridge told GiveMeSport.

“He needs to speak to Villarreal about whether he goes back on loan again or if it is on a permanent deal.

“If it was permanent, I think it would be around £20 million to £25 million. But ultimately, I think at a club like Crystal Palace, he could do some good there.

“So I think that’s pretty much a wait-and-see but they like their wingers at Palace and I think he’s an exciting one.”
