Everton rivalling Southampton for Bournemouth forward King
Everton and Southampton are in a transfer race to sign Bournemouth’s Josh King, according to reports.
King’s contract is set to expire in June, leaving the Cherries with no choice but to sell him for a reduced fee this month.
He’s been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa and West Ham.

According to The Athletic, Everton and Southampton are the most likely destinations for King on transfer deadline day.
Everton are on the hunt for a new forward after letting Cenk Tosun join Besiktas on loan.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti has now acknowledged the need to give Dominic Calvert-Lewin support.
The Toffees could tempt Bournemouth with a deal involving youngster Anthony Gordon.
It’s thought that the 19-year-old could join on loan, with King moving to Goodison Park on a permanent deal.
However, Everton are joined by Southampton in the pursuit, and they have a transfer plan of their own.
The report states that Southampton want to sign King for a small fee.
They would then allow striker Shane Long to join Bournemouth on loan with an option to buy.
This potential deal would give Southampton a new option up front, without either side having to break the bank.
Bournemouth are still considering the offer and might hold out for a bigger fee.
Southampton reportedly want Ralph Hasenhuttl to speak with King about the transfer.
They think the Austrian manager can convince him about a move using the upward trajectory of Southampton.
One sticking point for any deal will be his wage demands.
The Norwegian international earns a reported £45,000 a week with Bournemouth.
But it’s thought he would want around £100,000 a week to join a Premier League club.
The signing of King could go right down to the wire between Southampton and Everton.
