However, he is now back fit and available as Everton look to beat off the threat of relegation after a dismal season so far.

Lampard was brought in to replace Rafa Benitez at the end of January, but has overseen just one Premier League win so far, a 3-0 triumph over fellow relegation candidates Leeds.

They travel to Tottenham on M0nday night and Richarilsion is hoping he can provides goals and assist to help them climb the table.

Speaking to evertonfc.com, the Brazilian said: “I told the manager he can count on me, my body is obeying me and everything is in place to have an excellent closing few months of the season.

“It was probably inevitable that I would have fitness issues at some point, not only because I played non-stop for two years from the 2019 Copa America but because injuries are part of a footballer’s life.

“I was counting the minutes until I could get back on the pitch after I hurt my knee earlier this season and it was the same when I was coming back from my calf issue at the start of the year.

“I want to be playing and scoring goals and providing assists to help Everton pick up points to climb the table.

“The club means so much to me, I am really settled in the city and it feels like being at home in Brazil.

“We are playing with more confidence and feel the manager trusts in our ability. It showed against Manchester City last week, they are the best team in the league and we went up against them as equals.

“You could see how we’ve grown and developed and that performance created a platform for the rest of the season.

“We know how strong we are at Goodison Park, especially when the fans are supporting us like crazy, and our effort deserved at least a draw.
