Former RB Leipzig boss Ralph Hasenhuttl thinks Jurgen Klopp “will be grateful” for Naby Keita with the midfielder set to join Liverpool in the summer.
The Guinean will officially complete his transfer to the Merseysiders on July 1 for a fee reported to be in the region of £52.75million after Leipzig finished sixth in the Bundesliga.
Klopp has led Liverpool to fourth place in the Premier League and guided them to the final of the Champions League this campaign.
And his ranks will be boosted by Keita, who scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 39 matches for Leipzig in all competitions.
Hasenhuttl left Leipzig by mutual consent over the last week and he has been giving a glowing recommendation of Keita.
“He joins a crazy team. But, if I’m not scared of a player getting through in any club in the world, it’s Naby,” Hasenhuttl told Bild.
“Because he’s just so good. And a professional through and through, he lives football. Jurgen will be grateful for this signing, even if he wins the Champions League.”
