Former Tottenham player and coach Steffen Freund believes Harry Kane keeps getting better and reckons he could be the player to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

The England international has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu due his outstanding goal record in 2017 that has seen him bag 45 goals in 40 matches.

He stands top of the scoring charts in the Premier League this season with eight goals so far, one more than Sergio Aguero, Romelu Lukaku and Raheem Sterling.

And Freund has described Kane as the “most complete striker in the world” following his impressive displays for both club and country.

“Kane can be Cristiano Ronaldo’s successor,” Freund told Sport Bild. “He has had an incredible development and gets better every season.

“Passing, heading, shooting technique, dribbling, finishing, while Harry is not perfect, in any of these areas, he can do something exceptional and has no weaknesses at all. That makes him the most complete striker in the world.

“He carries Tottenham with his heart. But Harry is a thoroughbred professional and always wants the maximum success.”
