Neilson has a slight selection headache for Saturday’s game with Kevin McHattie and Adam Eckersley both battling to start at left-back for the Edinburgh side.
Soufian El Hassnaoui could also be in contention after he came on as a late substitute against Raith Rovers in midweek.
The Dutch-Moroccan has had an injury-plagued first season with the club, but scored in this fixture back in November where Hearts picked up a 2-1 victory at the Falkirk Stadium.
Falkirk are still in contention for a play-off place and will be hoping to keep up the impressive form which has seen them go 11 matches unbeaten in all competitions.
During that run they also inflicted a 3-2 defeat on Hearts – the only loss the runaway leaders have suffered in the Championship this season.
Falkirk’s last defeat was a 1-0 reverse at home to Raith Rovers back in December.
Peter Houston’s side are currently in fifth position and just one point behind Queen of the South who sit in the final play-off spot.
