Fellaini discusses potential Chinese Super League move

Marouane Fellaini says that a move to the Chinese Super League is a possibility for “the future”.

Fellaini has been linked with a transfer away from Manchester United in pretty much every transfer window since he joined the club in summer 2013.

The Belgian struggled to truly establish himself under David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, and his future at Old Trafford was uncertain this time last year.

However, he has emerged as one of Jose Mourinho’s most trusted lieutenants, and played a crucial role in their victories in the EFL Cup and Europa League this season.

The 29-year-old is now no longer expected to leave the club, but he suggests that a move to the Chinese Super League could be on the cards in the “future”.

Asked whether he could follow compatriot Axel Witsel in securing a lucrative move to the Far East, Fellaini replied: “In China? Why not?”

He continued, to VTM News: “I’m now a Manchester United player, but I do not rule out such a transfer in the future.”
