Fellaini explains why Man City ‘will lose’ this season

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini thinks Manchester City “will lose” in the Premier League this season.

The Citizens are top of the Premier League with ten wins and two draws from 12 matches, while United are in eighth having already lost four games this term.

City proved that they are currently ahead of their rivals on the field with a convincing 3-1 victory over the Red Devils before the international break to strengthen their grip in the league.

On whether the result against City proved there is a big gap between the sides, Fellaini told Sky Sports: “I don’t think so. I remember when I arrived in England it was a top four, now it is a top six, so every year it is more difficult.

“Next season we will see how it changes and in two and three years I think every year it is more difficult, the intensity is higher, so that’s why the Premier League is attractive.

“Manchester City are strong, but I think they will lose. Ok, they are very good and they have good players but it’s possible to beat them. We lost, but we have the second game at Old Trafford and we will see.”
