Firmino brands Ramos ‘an idiot’ as Liverpool feud continues

Roberto Firmino has branded Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos “an idiot” for his recent comments about Liverpool.

Ramos has become the centre of attention in the aftermath of the Champions League final, having been involved in the most high-profile incidents.

Mohamed Salah suffered a game-ending injury in a tangle with the Spaniard, while Loris Karius was confirmed to have sustained a concussion after a Ramos elbow.

The Real captain responded to constant criticism over his roles in both by poking fun at Liverpool.

“I am only missing Firmino saying that he got a cold because a drop of my sweat landed on him,” Ramos said earlier this week.

Firmino was asked about the comments at a press conference ahead of Brazil’s World Cup warm-up match with Austria on Sunday.

“I prefer not to make any comments,” he said.

“I think he has a view because he was the champion but I thought he was an idiot for what he said but that’s okay.”
