Arsenal open their 2016/17 Premier League season with a home fixture against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, but it is the run-in that will most trouble Arsene Wenger.
Wenger’s side face Tottenham (a), Manchester United (h), Stoke City (a) and Everton (h) in their last four league fixtures of the season.
The other north London derby comes on November 5. Insert your fireworks gag here.
One of the oddities of Arsenal’s fixture list is that their opening games of the month are incredibly tough: Liverpool (h), Southampton (h), Tottenham (h), West Ham (a), Chelsea (a), Liverpool (a), Manchester City (h) and Manchester United (h) represent eight of the season’s ten months.
Arsenal’s fixtures against Chelsea come on September 24 and February 4, while they play Leicester on the second weekend of the season.
As ever, fixtures are subject to change.
