Gossip: Man United, Chelsea, Spurs want Liverpool target

WHITE STUFF
Man United, Chelsea and Tottenham have been named as suitors for Brighton defender Ben White, who was a target for Liverpool in the summer.  Sky Sports claim that ‘Liverpool, who are considering entering the market for a new centre-back in January due to injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, are also said to have watched White since his time at Elland Road – but the club say they have “no interest” in signing him’.

But United need a centre-half despite having several spare, Spurs need another one despite the signing of Joe Rodon and Chelsea always need more centre-halves despite having 17. Alternatively, it’s just a massive advert for WyScout, who rank White below only Chelsea pair Kurt Zouma and Thiago Silva, and Arsenal’s Gabriel, this season.

BARCA WANT REJECTS
Barcelona still really want Eric Garcia but Manchester City are basically not having it, leaving the Spanish giants to shop in the ‘stopgap’ part of the international transfer market. According to Mundo Deportivo. two of their targets are Arsenal’s unwanted centre-half Shkodran Mustafi of Europa League fame and Antonio Rudiger, who has made just one Premier League appearance for Chelsea this season, because of said form of Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma.

NICE WANT SALIBA
It’s all about the centre-halves today and, according to reports in France, Patrick Vieira and Nice want to take William Saliba back to France on loan in January. What seems certain is that he will not be making the breakthrough at Arsenal any time soon. The problem? He looks destined to move back to St Etienne on loan.
