Forest plot £40m double Man Utd raid after loan for outcast who ‘p*ssed off’ Ten Hag is blocked
According to reports, Nottingham Forest are interested in signing two players from Man Utd before the end of this summer’s transfer window.
Forest are known to be interested in Dean Henderson (who has p*ssed off Erik ten Hag). He spent last season on loan with Steve Cooper’s side.
Prior to his injury, Henderson impressed for the newly-promoted side, who ended up avoiding relegation from the Premier League.
Henderson’s move to Forest came about after he slipped back behind David De Gea in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
He seemingly severed ties with United last year after he accused the club of making him “waste” a year of his career.
“I turned so many good loans down last summer for that reason [being promised the No.1 spot], and they wouldn’t let me go,” Henderson revealed to talkSPORT.
“It was frustrating. To sit there and waste 12 months is criminal really, at my age. I was fuming.”
More recently, Henderson has been left ‘perplexed’ by suggestions that he could return to Man Utd ahead of next season as his heart is set on a return to Nottm Forest.
Manchester Evening News are reporting that ‘Henderson could be included in United’s pre-season tour squad despite his expected sale’.

‘Forest initially proposed another loan deal with an obligation to buy if Henderson made a certain number of appearances’, but ‘United are not interested in negotiating another loan move’. On Forest’s interest in Anthony Elanga, the report adds.
‘Henderson expects to join Forest permanently and the club’s owner, Evangelos Marinakis, personally informed Henderson of their intention to do a £30million deal with United after Forest secured their Premier League status.’
‘Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana is close to securing a transfer to United and once that is finalised Henderson is due to depart.
‘United players have travelled on tours in the past to continue their rehabilitation without playing. Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Marcos Rojo were with the squad in the United States in 2017 while Sergio Romero and Diogo Dalot continued their recoveries from long-term injuries in the States the following year.
‘Forest are also interested in United forward Anthony Elanga. United had halved Elanga’s asking price to £10m after one start in the last eight months but enquiries from Forest and Everton are driving his valuation up.’
