Former Chelsea boss: Conte ‘can’t wait to leave’

Antonio Conte ‘cannot wait to leave Chelsea,’ according to former team-mate and ex-Chelsea manager Gianluca Vialli.

Vialli – now a pundit on Sky Sport Italia – played alongside Conte at Juventus and the pair remain friends.

It is expected that Conte will leave this summer after a season when he has openly criticised the club for their moves in the transfer market; against Tottenham on Sunday, only three new signings were in the starting XI of the team that lost at home to Tottenham.

“Conte can’t wait to leave Chelsea,” said Vialli. “He can’t stand that they sell or buy players without consulting him. The truth is, Chelsea would like a manager who is more of a club man.

“Whether it’s the Nazionale or Paris Saint-Germain, he’ll find a place where he can start winning something important again. There will be a queue of contracts for him to sign.”
