Former Chelsea right-back Glen Johnson believes a move to Stamford Bridge would be “sensible” for Everton forward Richarlison.
The Brazilian has been linked with Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
He helped Everton avoid relegation last term by scoring ten goals in 30 Premier League appearances.
Spurs are believed to be leading the race to sign him and are reportedly willing to pay £51m to land the former Watford man.
The north Londoners are desperate to improve over the summer having qualified for next season’s Champions League.
They have also been linked with Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, although Arsenal appear to be the front runners to sign the 25-year-old forward.
As well as Spurs, Chelsea are looking to improve on their third-place finish in 2021/22 by spending big in the summer transfer window.
Ex-Blues defender, Johnson, has claimed that Richarlison would “suit the way Chelsea play more than Romelu Lukaku”.

Lukaku re-signed for the Premier League club last summer but endured a tough season and is rumoured to be keen on a return to Inter Milan, who received £97m from Chelsea for the Belgian last year.
“I certainly believe he would suit the way Chelsea play more than Romelu Lukaku,” Johnson told BettingOdds (quotes via Metro).
“Whether he’s good enough to be their main man and get 20 goals a season, then I’m not so sure.
“I do like him though and I think he’s a good player and it could be a sensible move if the fee is reasonable.”
Meanwhile, according to The Sun, Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri has emerged as a target for Chelsea with Marcos Alonso reportedly poised to join Barcelona this summer.
The 21-year-old made 27 appearances in all competitions under Bruno Lage last term, helping Wolves to a top-half finish in the Premier League.
Thomas Tuchel is prioritising defensive recruitments with Alonso likely to leave, on top of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen’s departures to Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.
