Former Palace boss tries to whore Zaha out to Liverpool

Liverpool would be “a great club” for Wilfried Zaha to join, according to former Crystal Palace manager Frank de Boer.

De Boer was appointed Palace manager in the summer, but was sacked after four defeats in as many games.

Zaha was injured for three of the Dutchman’s four games in charge, but has been by far Palace’s best player as Roy Hodgson has lifted them up to 12th.

He might well be the best player in the bottom half, but De Boer believes he can make the step up to Liverpool.

“A January move? Not really right now, because he has to play every game, every week, I think that’s important for him right now,” De Boer told FourFourTwo.

“Liverpool would be a great club for him but I’m going to see what he does in the future, I’m very interested in him because I think he has a great potential.

“He can play for a much bigger club than Crystal Palace, that’s for sure, I’m 100 per cent convinced.”
