Former Tottenham man explains how Klopp ‘destroys you’

Kevin-Prince Boateng has poured praise on Jurgen Klopp for helping reinvigorate his career.

Boateng joined Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund on loan from Tottenham in 2009, failing to score in 11 appearances.

Despite the midfielder’s comparative lack of impact at the Westfalenstadion, just five months under Klopp’s coaching was enough to turn Boateng’s flailing career around.

Now with Sassuolo at the age of 31, the Ghana international has paid tribute to the Liverpool manager.

“At that moment, I needed a motivator,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport, as translated by Sport Witness.

“I needed someone who would talk to me in a tough manner, just like a father would, and he destroys you.”

“Not the best” tactically though, yeah?
