Gareth Bale on Man United rumours: ‘Nothing to discuss’

Gareth Bale insists there is “nothing to discuss” with regards to a move to Manchester United.

Bale has been linked with United ever since he left Tottenham for Real Madrid in 2013.

The Welshman is one of four ‘fantasy’ signings that Ed Woodward wishes to deliver during his time at Old Trafford.

But in an interview with Marca, the forward says that his future remains in Spain.

“I’ve not read anything, I haven’t got a clue about what’s going to happen,” he said.

“Look, I only found out yesterday that (Romelu) Lukaku has signed for Manchester United… I honestly don’t know.

“I have not thought of leaving Madrid.

“The truth is that I do not read any of that,” Bale said. “I am a British player and I am always linked with a return home.

“It happened with Beckham, with other Englishmen who came to Spain. Nothing new.

“I am happy playing in Madrid, logically interest is interest, but if there has been nothing concrete, no offer, there is nothing to discuss.”
