Gazidis: Look forward to Arsenal success in 2017

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis says that Arsenal will bounce back from their recent disappointments.

Gazidis believes that the title race will go right down to the wire this season, and also that Arsenal can look forward to success in 2017.

The Arsenal chief praised the club’s performances on the field, but also spoke at length about the club’s work on the development of the training ground and new academy centre.

“We have made an encouraging start to the season but are obviously hugely disappointed after our two recent results on the road at Everton and Manchester City”, Gazidis said  in an update to Arsenal’s shareholders.

“That said, I am confident the squad will bounce back strongly and we have the chance to get back on track over the busy Christmas period.

“The race for the Premier League will go right to the end with several clubs competing for the title.

“We are in that group so we should all stay positive, get behind the team and look forward to more successes in 2017.”

Arsenal currently sit fourth in the Premier League, and fourth in a table of points collected in 2016. It’s lovely to enjoy familiar comforts at Christmas.
