JIMENEZ TO UNITED
Wolves are reportedly lining up a replacement for Raul Jimenez, who is ‘on his way to Manchester United’, claims RTP.

It was something of a throwaway line from the Portuguese publication. The article is based on Wolves’ £27million move for Paulinho from Sporting Braga, claiming Nuno Espirito Santo is targeting a striker as they expect Jimenez not to be at the club next season.

Nuno will be reticent to lose his star striker, who has had another brilliant campaign both in the Premier League and in Wolves’ bid for the Europa League. Any offer to lure him from Molineux would have to be a significant one. And AS claim United’s biggest rivals for his signature, Juventus, are willing to do just that. They have reportedly tabled a £72million bid for the Mexican.

FOUR IN FOR AIT-NORI
Manchester United and Manchester City are among four Premier League clubs interested in a move for Angers full-back Ait-Nori. The 19-year-old has made 17 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this season, providing two assists in the process.

FootMercato claim this has drawn the attention of Wolves and Crystal Palace as well as the two Manchester clubs, who have all been monitoring the progress of the left-back with a view to a deal.

The report claims any bid would have to eclipse the record sum paid for an Angers player, which currently stands at £25million, paid by Lyon to sign Jeff Reine-Adelaide last summer. Ait-Nori has apparently already visited Manchester ahead of the proposed move.

LEEDS TARGET PREM EXPERIENCE
Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly desperate to add some Premier League experience to his squad following Leeds’ return to the top flight after a 16-year hiatus. And that top division nowse will come in the form of Danny Rose and Fabien Delph according to the Daily Star.

Delph has started just 13 games for Everton this season, and wasn’t included in their squad for the last 10 Premier League fixtures. Danny Rose spent the second half of the season on loan at Newcastle, and is thought not to be a part of Jose Mourinho’s plans at parent club Tottenham.

Leeds believe they can persuade Everton to part with Delph with a £5million bid and a move for Rose is also unlikely to break the bank. But these do seem like slightly backwards moves for former England internationals past their prime. Why not Phil Jones at centre-back? Andy Carroll up top?
