Gossip: Arsenal and Man Utd lined up for Juventus cast-offs
GUNNERS KEAN ON JUVE STAR
Everton and Arsenal have already drawn their weapons in the fight for Wilfried Zaha – Unai Emery pulled out a water pistol, sadly – but it seems the two clubs will duel again over another forward.
Juventus are looking to sell Moise Kean and, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Gunners and the Toffees are going head to head once more. Apparently, Juve are willing to let the teenager go on the condition they get first refusal at the next point of sale.
Kean will cost around £27million, but Barcelona are also said to be sniffing. They have a plan which involves purchasing the striker before sending him immediately to Sevilla on loan.
QUEUE FORMING FOR MATUIDI
While Everton were on the phone to Juve over Kean, it seems they also enquired over Blaise Matuidi. But they aren’t the only club looking at the France midfielder.
According to Le Parisien, Manchester United and PSG have also registered an interest in the 32-year-old. Matuidi is considered surplus to requirements at Juve following the arrival of Aaron Ramsey and the Serie A champions need to raise some funds if they are to make a move for Paul Pogba.
Matuidi was one of three players mentioned on Friday as part of a supposed swap deal for Pogba, and United certainly need midfield reinforcements, regardless of Pogba’s situation. They don’t need a right-back, though.
SPURS LINKED WITH SPAIN DEFENDER
Tottenham are being linked this morning with not one Llorente but two.
They and West ham are rumoured to be keen on Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente, though Mundo Deportivo’s story is a bit thin on details. The 25-year-old has a release clause of around £45million, but Real Madrid could re-sign the centre-back for half that figure.
Spurs may also re-sign Fernando Llorente. The veteran striker was released upon the end of his contract at the end of last season but Mauricio Pochettino is said to want him back, but on reduced terms. Llorente also has an offer from Fiorentina.
