MORATA OUT, CAVANI OR FEKIR IN
Alvaro Morata has explained why his first season at Chelsea has not worked out well, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t being linked with a quick move away from English football. To be honest, we’d be surprised.

Tuttosport claim that Morata could be heading back to Juventus this summer, but on a permanent deal. Chelsea would then try and sign Edinson Cavani. We cannot get on board with Chelsea spending massive money on a 31-year-old. It just isn’t their thing.

Finally, L’Equipe says that Chelsea have moved ahead of Liverpool in the queue for Nabil Fekir of Lyon. It’s literally two days since we were told that a deal for Fekir to join Liverpool had been done. Cheeky Fekir.

IT LOOKS LIKE ALLEGRI FOR ARSENAL, OR…
Tuesday brings a barrel load of takes on Arsenal’s managerial situation. We have a scoop: Arsene Wenger is leaving at the end of the season.

Firstly, Sky Sports have a line about Max Allegri or Luis Enrique being the frontrunners, but both having concerns over Arsenal’s management structure. Given that both have worked at European super clubs with similar structures, that sounds a bit odd.

The Daily Mirror say that Enrique has risked pricing himself out of the job with his lofty wage demands.

The Daily Star say that Arsenal’s back-up plan is to appoint Carlo Ancelotti with Mikel Arteta or Patrick Vieira working under him to learn the ropes and eventually take over.

KHEDIRA PIN DROP AT ANFIELD
While you admire the crowbarred pun in the headline, let me tell you all about Liverpool’s plans to swap Emre Can for Sami Khedira.

It’s hardly that simple, given that Khedira is under contract and Can is available on a free. But The Sun’s Alvise Cagnazzo – whose record is not good in this area – says that Liverpool have asked Juventus whether Can’s arrival might mean that Khedira is expendable.

Let’s say this now: Would be a fantastic signing.

AND THE REST
Leicester want Huddersfield manager David Wagner to be their next manager… Ipswich are considering asking Tim Sherwood to be their new manager… Ajax want Southampton’s Dusan Tadic… Dean Marney could join Nottingham Forest this summer… West Ham, Newcastle and Swansea want Stoke’s Joe Allen… While Newcastle, Tottenham and Wolves want Ryan Bertrand.
