MBAPPE? MORE LIKELY SANCHO FOR LIVERPOOL…
Jurgen Klopp has poured a massive bucket of cold water on the rumours about Kylian Mbappe joining Liverpool in a £215m deal next year.
“What a player he is,” said Klopp. “But it is about the money of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance. Sorry for killing that story.”
But the good news is that The Guardian report those quotes but then add that ‘Jadon Sancho is a potential Liverpool target and the Borussia Dortmund winger is friends with several fellow England internationals at Anfield’. Now that would be a signing.
ERIKSEN FOR MAN UNITED?
The source of that latest Mbappe story was Spanish website El Desmarque, who seem to be the new gossip-mongers in town. Their latest claim is that Christian Eriksen is in talks with Manchester United after losing patience with Real Madrid. Which seems likely until they mention the price that United could pay in January for the Dane.
Would United really pay £42m in January for a player they could get for nothing in the summer? We’re not sure at all but it’s Saturday morning in November and there is sod all gossip around.
