Gossip: Man United choose Pellegrini; Chelsea want Jack

PELLEGRINI TO MAN UNITED
‘There is active interest in Italy international (Lorenzo) Pellegrini, 23’ says the Manchester Evening News as they discuss United’s transfer plans this summer. Alarm bells ring at this point because Pellegrini is only 21. Alarm bells also ring because Italian reports suggest that Pellegrini is on the verge of a move to Juventus.

Everybody agrees that Fred is on his way but the MEN then add: ‘Fred could be supplemented by a box-to-box midfielder, with Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini both on United’s radar. Milinkovic-Savic was deemed too expensive…’

It should be noted that Pellegrini has also been strongly linked with Arsenal.

CHELSEA EYE JACK BUTLAND
It is astonishing that Thibaut Courtois is still actually a Chelsea goalkeeper, considering the number of times we have been told that he is on his way to Real Madrid. One man who would probably quite like him to leave is Jack Butland.

According to the Daily Mail: ‘Chelsea are ready to revive their interest in Stoke City’s Jack Butland should Thibaut Courtois leave this summer.’

The price? Somewhere north of the £30m that Everton paid Sunderland for Jordan Pickord, apparently. Which is odd as Pickford is ahead of Butland in the England goalkeeper ranks.
