Gossip: Man United limit Martial; Boateng heading there?

MARTIAL WANTS OUT; MAN UNITED HAVE CONDITIONS
So it is confirmed: Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United after dropping even further down the pecking order after the January arrival of Alexis Sanchez. It has arguably cost him a place at the World Cup.

As his agent said on Wednesday night: “After thinking about all the factors and possibilities, Anthony wants to leave Manchester United. There are lots of factors, and right now it’s too early to talk about them.”

So who wants him? Well, Tottenham and Chelsea. But there is a snag – the Daily Telegraph claims that ‘United are opposed to selling him to a Premier League rival’, which is a massive shame as Martial would love Mauricio Pochettino and Mauricio Pochettino would love Martial.

BOATENG TO MAN UNITED?
The Manchester Evening News have claimed that United have eight centre-halves on their radar, and one of those eight centre-halves is Jerome Boateng. And now, in what has been described as a ‘boost’ to United, Bayern Munich have said he can leave this summer for the right price.

The MEN point out that Boateng shares an agent with Romelu Lukaku, who would very much have a vested interest in making United quite a bit better.

SPURS LOW-BALL VILLA FOR GREALISH
We were told last week that Aston Villa wanted £40m for Jack Grealish and oh how we laughed. He may be talented but a cash-strapped club wanting £40m for an uncapped Championship midfielder really is astonishing.

So what does Daniel Levy do? Well, according to Sky Sports, he offers £15m. Ouch. Take that, Villa. We do suspect that won’t be enough, but with Chelsea and Leicester also interested, Villa should be able to eke £20m out of somebody.
