WILLIAN, IT WAS REALLY SOMETHING
Manchester United are – according to the Daily Mail at least – ‘preparing a £60million bid to take Willian from Chelsea this summer’, which is a bit bloody ridiculous because he is 29 years old. And Chelsea would presumably jump at the chance of £60m for a player who started just 20 Premier League games last season.
That this news appeared as Willian was playing pretty awfully for Brazil in their 1-1 draw with Switzerland is particularly amusing.
Worst performance I’ve ever seen from a Brazilian from Willian.

REDS TO MOVE FOR TELLES
Liverpool already have Andrew Robertson so we are struggling to believe that they would spend £35m on another left-back, but Portuguese newspaper A Bola seem convinced that the Reds will match the release of clause of Porto’s Alex Telles.
Surely Liverpool want to spend that kind of money on wide players? Like Hakim Ziyech or Xherdan Shaqiri, for example.
SPURS MOVE FOR NDOMBELE
Tanguy Ndombele will cost Lyon only £7m this summer as part of the deal they agreed with Amiens when they took the young defensive midfielder on loan last year, but now Lyon want over £50m for the French Under-21 international. Wow.
Tottenham are said to be very keen on a player they see as a long-term successor to Mousa Dembele and – according to L’Equipe on Monday – they have offered £35m for a player who is also interesting Chelsea, but Lyon are not playing ball unless that offer significantly increases.
AND THE REST
Crystal Palace want unsettled Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere for free…Lazio will not accept less than £35m for Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson, who is a target for West Ham…Leicester are closing in on the signing of James Maddison after Norwich accepted a bid of £24m for the 21-year-old English midfielder.
