Gossip: Ozil out, Under in at Arsenal; Liverpool target stays

ARSENAL GOING UNDER
Not only did Arsenal vanquish Tottenham on the field (read 16 Conclusions here) but it seems that the Gunners are also winning off the field, with Caught Offside citing Italian sources who say that Arsenal are leading the race for Roma’s Cengiz Under, who is also a target for Spurs, Manchester United and Barcelona.

The 21-year-old Turk scored a screamer for Roma against Inter Milan at the weekend and Arsenal scouts watched a man who could cost £50m. It says here that he is the ‘next Paulo Dybala’.

OZIL GOING INTER
Mesut Ozil could be offered ‘an escape route’ to Inter Milan, according to The Sun. They claim that the Italians are ‘among a small clutch of clubs’ who could possibly afford the German midfielder, who has been dropped by new Gunners boss Unai Emery.

Ozil will not leave in January but could be on his way in the summer. He missed Sunday’s 4-2 win over Tottenham after reportedly suffering a back spasm last week.

ZIELINSKI TO STAY
Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski will sign a new contract at Napoli rather than head to Anfield, according to Il Mattino, though there are sticking points between the two parties. The Polish midfielder is willing to extend his deal until 2023, but his agents want a £71m release clause in the deal. Napoli are not so keen.

So if Liverpool want Zielinski, then they will have to wait…and then they will have to pay.

AND THE REST
Real Sociedad and Valencia are among the La Liga sides to be considering a move for West Ham striker Javier Hernandez…AC Milan will sign Denis Suarez if they fail to buy Cesc Fabregas.
