Gossip: Rabiot for Spurs, Chelsea and Bayern business…
SPURS TO MOVE FOR RABIOT
He is January’s hot property and Tottenham – who looked fatigued against Wolves on Saturday – have their eyes on PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to Paris United. But they are unlikely to be successful as they are offering only £7m a year. And how will Rabiot live on just £140,000 a week?
It’s far more likely that Rabiot will join Barcelona, who may have to increase his signing-on bonus to appease both him and his mother. It might be better if Spurs miss out.
PRICE NAMED FOR HUMMELS
Chelsea have been given both a price and a date by Bayern Munich if they want to sign Mats Hummels, according to The Sun. The German club have reportedly said they will accept £30m by August 14 as that would give them the money and the time to buy a replacement.
The same report suggests that Chelsea are working on a £80m-£100m deal for Real Madrid’s Isco and mentions talk of a move for Christian Pulisic. This sounds like an awfully busy January.
BAYERN MOVE AGAIN FOR CHELSEA KID
This is interesting. Sky Sports claim that Bayern Munich have made a second offer for Chelsea teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi of over £20m after having a first bid of £13.5m turned down by the London club, who are thought to want £22.5m for the 18-year-old who has just 18 months remaining on his contract.
How will Chelsea fans feel about their club spending £7.5m and a promising youngster on a 30-year-old defender?
