Gossip: Real want Salah and De Bruyne; Man United eye Sessegnon

LIVERPOOL AND MAN CITY TO SAY NO TO REAL
‘Liverpool will make Mohamed Salah the key man in their new era and robustly turn away any renewed interest from Real Madrid,’ claims the Daily Mail, who say that the Egyptian is now valued at close to £200m. But no matter the bid, Dominic King claims they will say a firm ‘no’, and they are already talking about improved terms for Salah with his agent Ramy Abbas. We really did witness the birth of a superstar on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are also ready to rebuff interest from Real Madrid, who look set to overhaul their squad this summer. They are about to reach the final of the Champions League but are nowhere near special. According to the Manchester Evening News, they are sniffing around Leroy Sane  Kevin De Bruyne , Raheem Sterling and John Stones, but Real ‘will be told that their main men are not available at any price’.

MAN UNITED TARGET SESSEGNON
‘Manchester United are hoping to persuade Ryan Sessegnon, the England Under-21 left back, to sign for them this summer if he decides to leave Fulham,’ say The Times, who list a few other left-backs being targeted by United, who need a new option with Luke Shaw out of the picture and Ashley Young unlikely to be able to play 50 games next season.

They say: ‘Danny Rose, the England left-back who has fallen out of favour under Mauricio Pochettino and is also on United’s radar. Alex Sandro of Juventus and Celtic’s Kieran Tierney are also of interest to United.’ So that’s all of the left-backs then.

EVERYBODY WANTS RADJA
The thought of Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan bullying Granit Xhaka into being a half-decent central midfielder is certainly a tempting one, even though we suspect there’s a great deal of 2+2 about The Sun’s claim that Luis Enrique is an admirer of the Belgian and thus Arsenal could move for him this summer. They will apparently face competition from Chelsea and Manchester United.

They mention a fee – £45m – but we cannot help thinking that seems a little ambitious considering the fact that Nainggolanis about to turn 30. That would be the most ever paid for a 30-plus player and we are not sure Arsenal would spunk the majority of their £50m wartin on one player.
