SPURS LINE UP ANOTHER LYON RAID
It seems that Manchester United aren’t bothered about using their buy-back option on Memphis Depay – not if they really are keen to re-sign another of their former wingers – so Tottenham could step into the breach.

The Mirror reckons Spurs are willing to give Lyon another £50million next summer after chucking a similar amount in their direction when they signed Tanguy Ndombele. Although Spurs have taken the opportunity to have a look at Moussa Dembele, it seems the real subject of interest on their recent scouting trips is the Holland attacker.

Depay flopped hard during his spell at Old Trafford but his improvement in Ligue 1 has led to some reports that United could exercise their option to re-sign 25-year-old. With 11 goals in 14 games so far this season, Depay is only one short of his tally for the whole of last term.

CITY SET TO SPEND BIG IN JANUARY
How will Man City react to being humbled at Anfield? According to The Mirror, they’ll splurge £100million on the January sales.

Apparently, Pep Guardiola will target replacements for Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Sergio Aguero. In Kompany’s case, they are a bit bloody late.

That sum barely seems enough to replace two out of the three, though with Phil Foden being groomed to replace David Silva, that should save City a few quid. The report doesn’t name any potential targets so we’ll leave you to fill in the blanks…

LIVERPOOL’S FRASER LINK RUBBISHED
Talksport claims Ryan Fraser is heading to Liverpool in January. Liverpool say it’s bollocks. So that’s that.

ARSENAL KEEPER EYED BY BAYERN
It’s all change at Bayern Munich. They are still looking for a new manager, and the Daily Star is reporting that Xabi Alonso and Mauricio Pochettino are among their targets. Former Liverpool midfielder Alonso, 37, would be a strange choice since Bayern were known to be looking for a more experienced coach after taking the reins away from Niko Kovac last week.

The Sun also claims Bayern are making succession plans for Manuel Neuer. For all the fuss they kicked up over the prospect of Germany dropping Neuer, it seems they could be considering doing just that themselves.

On their radar is Bernd Leno. The Arsenal keeper is not their first choice, but Bayern know Marc-Andre ter Stegen will be bloody hard to prise away from Barcelona.
