Gossip: Spurs to revamp their entire defence?

Tottenham keep throwing away leads and a once-imperious defence looks very vulnerable indeed. So what can they change? Well the whole of the defence, it seems, with Football Insider claiming that Mauricio Pochettino is running out of patience with Jan Vertonghen and is willing to let him leave for nothing next summer. Joining him out of the door will be Toby Alderweireld, who is also out of contract at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, reports in Italy claim that AC Milan are interested in Tottenham right-back Serge Aurier, who started Saturday’s Spursy defeat to Leicester but appears to have no long-term future at the club.

And so they should because Fabian Ruiz and Kalidou Koulibaly are too good for Napoli. They were excellent against Liverpool last week and absolutely deserve this kind of move to a European superpower, with Barcelona director of football Eric Abidal reportedly watching the pair face Lecce this weekend.

Barcelona have endured their worst start to a season for 25 years and they sure need some help; there could be some serious money spent in January.
