SUAREZ FOR ARSENAL?
Not that Suarez. Behave.
It’s Denis Suarez who is being offered to Arsenal as a replacement for Aaron Ramsey, according to The Independent. Barcelona have apparently told the 24-year-old that they are finally ready to sell and would accept a cut-price £14m price for the Spanish playmaker.
Suarez has played for Arsenal boss Unai Emery in a successful loan spell at Sevilla and would presumably prefer to reprise that role at the Emirates. Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the former Manchester City youth player.
ALL CHANGE AT CHELSEA
Well, we know they need a striker. And that striker is likely to be Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson, with the Blues reportedly (Daily Express) ‘confident’ of signing the England international for a fee upwards of £30m. Eddie Howe says they can keep him, but we suspect that Wilson himself would relish the step up. What player wouldn’t?
Bournemouth may well find themselves agreeing to a deal, if they can move ahead of West Ham in the race to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan, with The Sun claiming both teams are very interested in a deal to take the Englishman for the rest of the season as he remains on the fringes at Chelsea.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are going to focus largely on signing homegrown talent in the next two transfer windows as too many of their eligible players are not getting regular first-team football.
‘The futures of Gary Cahill, Cesc Fabregas, Danny Drinkwater, Andreas Christensen, Victor Moses and Rob Green are all uncertain under Maurizio Sarri,’ they say. Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley are the other players who meet the criteria.
