Antoine Griezmann says that France’s World Cup quarter-final with Uruguay will be “boring”.
France reached the final eight courtesy of a thrilling 4-3 victory over Argentina.
Uruguay booked a date against them later on Saturday by beating Portugal 2-1.
Griezmann, who provided a fine foil for the wonderful Kylian Mbappe, expects Uruguay to play like his club team, Atletico Madrid.
“Uruguay will be like Atletico, they will take their time, fall, go to the referee,” he said.
“We will have to get used to that because the match will be boring and they will want to bring us into that.”
On Edinson Cavani, who struck twice against Portugal, he added: “He’s the best forward according to my thinking.
“He makes 10,000 calls, works for the team, and if he’s injured they will change a lot.”
