Gullit: Willian and Hazard don’t trust Alvaro Morata

Former Chelsea boss Ruud Gullit has made an intriguing claim about struggling Blues striker Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard has scored just twice in the Premier League so far this season, with many calling for Olivier Giroud to start ahead of him.

However, Gullit believes that the 25-year-old is a victim of poor service, even suggesting that Eden Hazard and Willian are avoiding giving him the ball.

“They don’t come into any positions where they create anything for him,” Gullit said on beINSports.

“The worst part is you can see Willian and Hazard always dribble inside because they don’t trust him.

“But also when the crosses are in, I think there was a moment in the first half where you asked “where is Morata”, he wasn’t there. So they don’t trust him.”

Maurizio Sarri did deny that Chelsea are looking to replace the former Juventus man.

“I don’t think they know me very well, I don’t think about the market,” Sarri said.

“I continue to focus on the team, in the last few months Morata has played better and in the last three days I have seen him in training (play) very, very well.”
