Dean Henderson claims “cream rises to the top” as he looks to gain promotion with Sheffield United and force his way into Manchester United’s first team in the long term.
The England under-21 international turned in another superb performance at the weekend with Sheff United having him to thank for a point at Rotherham.
And Henderson is happy that his long-term future will take care of itself as long as he keeps performing for the Blades this term.
“All I am focused on at the moment is getting promotion with Sheffield United to the Premier League,” Henderson said.

“That is my immediate goal. It is just like last year when I wanted to get Shrewsbury to the Championship. That didn’t quite happen.
“But I am clear in my aims this season. The bigger picture looks after itself.
“If they (United) are not seeing what I am doing then that’s their problem at the end of the day.
“I will keep doing what I am doing and cream rises to the top.”
Another top half from Dean Henderson. Two world class saves one reaction, one acrobatic. Good distribution and he caught a corner under this much pressure. If de Gea leaves, Henderson could comfortably take over pic.twitter.com/3VfK6WwdGS
