‘He’s isolated’ – Henry ‘having trouble’ with Messi at PSG

Thierry Henry has claimed that his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi is “isolated” at PSG with him not playing down the middle.
Messi left Barcelona during the summer after his contract with them expired. The Spanish giants attempted to keep him, but they were unable to do so given their ongoing financial struggles.
The Argentinian completed his move to PSG on a free transfer shortly after.

The 34-year-old has had a mixed start at PSG. He has three goals from his three games in the Champions League group stages.
But Messi is yet to score from his four outings in Ligue 1. He has missed four of PSG’s league games through injury.
Henry has told RMC Sport that Messi has been left “isolated” at PSG so far:
“He [Messi] is isolated, he is on the ball less, I wouldn’t say he’s sad, but he’s isolated. I prefer him through the middle.
“I’m having trouble with Leo out on the right. In the middle, he can set the tempo.
“Something needs to be found in order to get Mbappe, Neymar and Messi to play together.”
Earlier this month, Henry suggested that Karim Benzema is ahead of Mohamed Salah on current form:
“The goals that he is scoring, at the moment, are very good. But how can you forget about Lewandowski? How can you forget about Benzema? How can you forget doing it at the national level also?
“Right now, he’s suffering a bit with Egypt. It’s not easy. But he’s not doing in there yet. But those goals are ridiculous. I love Salah. But he’s not yet the best.
“Is he the best player right now in the Premier League? By a distance. On current form are you not putting Benzema there right now, with the way he is playing? What he is doing for France and at the Euros? It’s not that clear, for me.
“This is why Benzema is ahead because he has been a complete player, with goals for a long time.
“Salah is becoming a good (complete) player (now), not only a great goalscorer.”
