Hereford boss Jamie Pitman remains without Michael Townsend and Nicky Featherstone.
Centre-back Townsend completes a two-match suspension, picked up at the end of last season, having missed Saturday’s opening-day 1-0 defeat at Southend.
Pitman went with skipper Stefan Stam and Ryan Green at the heart of defence at Roots Hall, with Rob Purdie taking Green’s spot at right-back. The Bulls boss must decide whether to keep faith with the same system against the Bees.
Midfielder Featherstone missed the encounter with a foot injury and is again set to watch from the sidelines, although he could well be fit for Saturday’s home clash against Morecambe.
Midfielder Danny Williams and goalkeeper Russell Hoult, who is assistant manager at Edgar Street, with again both be among the substitutes having agreed non-contract terms on Saturday. Stopper Dan Connor (hip) remains a long-term absentee.
Brentford boss Uwe Rosler will be without Niall McGinn.
The on-loan Celtic midfielder is with the Northern Ireland squad to face the Faroe Islands on Wednesday.
Rosler plans to make changes and has said striker Charlie MacDonald and winger Sam Saunders will start after they came on as substitutes in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Yeovil.
Defenders Pim Balkestein and Michael Spillane, midfielders Kevin O’Connor and Marcus Bean and new signing Harry Forrester could also come into the side.
Centre-half Leon Legge missed out on Saturday with a calf problem and is unlikely to be risked while midfielder Toumani Diagouraga (knee) and winger Kirk Hudson (hip) are still on the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Pitman will be able to have more options available to him on the bench against his League One opponents as he is able to name seven substitutes in the Carling Cup, with only five now allowed in league competition this season.
