Manchester United defender Harry Maguire will face a spell on the sidelines with a torn hip muscle, according to reports.
Maguire subsequently missed United’s 3-1 loss in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against arch-rivals City.
And now the Daily Telegraph claims that Maguire has ‘suffered a torn hip muscle’ and ‘appears to have aggravated the problem’ by playing on against Wolves, resulting in a ‘sustained spell on sidelines’.
Maguire has only missed five games in all competitions this season and has played every minute of the club’s Premier League campaign.
Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba, who would probably be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s two starting central midfielders, were recently lost to injury and the Maguire news will be another blow for the Norwegian.
