I can’t see anyone catching Chelsea – Lampard

Frank Lampard doubts any other team in the Premier League has the “consistency” to catch Chelsea in the title race.Antonio Conte’s men have surged into a six point lead at the top of the standings with Liverpool and Manchester City their closest rivals in second and third respectively.

The Blues are reaping the rewards of a change of formation to 3-4-3 and have now won 11 league matches on the bounce.

And Lampard, who won three Premier League titles at Stamford Bridge, can’t see anyone catching the Londoners.

“As a Chelsea man it is great to see, all credit to everybody there,” Lampard told Sky Sports.

“The manager obviously changed the system after a defeat at Arsenal [Chelsea lost 3-0 in September].

“Nobody would have fancied them to be anywhere near winning the League at that point and now they look the dominant team.

“I don’t like to tempt fate but I can’t see anyone with the consistency to close the gap, so I fancy Chelsea.”
