Mauro Icardi will not be leaving Inter Milan despite being a target of Arsenal, according to his agent.

Reports emerged in the summer that the Gunners could make a bid for Icardi, but the striker remained at Inter and was installed as captain.

He has endured a difficult season so far however, after being branded a ‘piece of sh*t‘ by his own fans over claims in his autobiography.

According to The Sun, this renewed Arsenal’s interest in the 23-year-old, and they were linked with a move in January.

However, his agent and wife, Wanda, rubbished the speculation when asked whether he could leave the San Siro, by replying: “Absolutely not.”

She continued: “He has just renewed his contract for five years, which includes a termination clause of €110m for foreign teams.

“There have been offers from other clubs, but Inter conducted themselves in an incredible way with Mauro. He has always worked hard to stay at the club.”
