Ince: It would be rude for me to manage abroad

Paul Ince says that people are confused why he isn’t in football management currently, but does not want to go abroad.

Ince has touted himself for the Wolverhampton Wanderers job, where he played in his late career, but is not expected to be given the gig.

Speaking to The Sun, Ince says that his CV should make him a candidate for good jobs. He also says that it “would be rude” for him to go abroad rather than share his experience with an English club.

“It’s not about the money. It’s a case of having a young British manager who wants a chance in this country,” Ince said.

“The facts are there and, if you look at my CV, most people would be baffled that I’m not working.

“I know I’m a good manager. I have a 42 per cent win ratio, which is not bad considering the clubs I’ve gone to have not given me a penny to spend.

“I’ve had offers from abroad but I can do that when I’m older. I’ve learnt so much it would be rude of me not to give that to another team in England.”

It’s worth pointing out that Ince’s last three jobs were at MK Dons, Notts County and Blackpool. He left the Dons after an unsuccessful spell, left Notts County after losing a club record nine games in a row and left Blackpool after winning 12 of his 42 games.
