Joe Ledley will miss Crystal Palace’s FA Cup final clash with Manchester United and is a major doubt for Wales’ Euro 2016 campaign after fracturing his leg.

Palace midfielder Ledley suffered the injury in a challenge from Charlie Adam in the 2-1 victory over Stoke City on Saturday.

At first it was hoped the injury was not too serious, but scans have confirmed the 29-year-old suffered a fracture fibula.

The blow means Ledley will miss the final Premier League fixture of the season against Southampton, plus the Wembley showpiece on May 21.

On Monday Wales manager Chris Coleman named the former Cardiff and Celtic man in his provisional squad for this summer’s European Championship, and the Welsh FA remain hopeful he could still play a part.

“As far as we are concerned he still has a chance of playing in the Euros. Obviously our cut off point is 31st May,” a FAW spokesperson said.
